Classic Pooh
Poohsticks Bridge

Poohsticks bridge can be found in Hartfield, East Sussex, England. The original bridge was built in 1907 to carry horses and carts.

The famous bridge is visited by many Pooh fans every year, which has caused a lot of wear and tear on the poor old bridge.

In 1979 it underwent some much needed restoration work.

The bridge's popularity has never waned and in 1999, the restoration work had to be repeated.

Poohsticks bridge was reopened in January 2000, to a whole new millennium of Pooh visitor

The path leading to the bridge is very uneven and bumpy, unfortunately it is not suitable for use by wheelchair users.

With our typical English weather it can also be very muddy ! So wearing boots would be a good idea.

Try to collect your all important sticks before reaching the bridge as they are in short supply when you get there ! But most important of all remember to throw your sticks in a "twitchy" sort of a way !
